Cocoloca, A Family House
Mouit, Gandiol Senegal, by Laurent Biot
What should we build when nature is so powerful? How visible should our actions be when the Milky Way is so bright? We decided to design a house 100% open to nature, capturing every sound, every wind, every light. An old small building transformed into a kitchen, connected to the living room by a glass gallery. Straw for the roof, lime for the plaster and the floors, old elevator rails from Dakar for the metal structure. The steep slope of the roof guarantees the longevity of the straw.
